Getting Started

Podcasts

1. Tap the search icon to find podcasts by name or topic.
2. Tap Subscribe to add a podcast to your library.
3. New episodes appear in your queue automatically.
4. Tap the download icon on any episode for offline listening.

Music

1. Open Settings and tap Choose Folder to select a folder of audio files.
2. Mogul scans the folder for MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, AIFF, and ALAC files.
3. Folders in iCloud Drive or on your device both work.
4. Album artwork and metadata are read automatically from file tags.

Audiobooks

1. Tap the folder icon to import audiobook files from the Files app.
2. Supported formats include M4B, MP3, M4A, and other common audio types.
3. Your playback position is saved automatically.
4. Use the chapter list and sleep timer in the player for a better listening experience.

Radio

1. Browse stations by genre, country, or language.
2. Tap a station to start streaming immediately.
3. Tap the star icon in the player to save a station to your favorites.
4. Tap the + button to add a custom station by stream URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t Mogul find my music files?

Make sure you’ve selected the correct folder in Settings > Choose Folder. Mogul reads audio files from the folder you choose — it supports MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, AIFF, and ALAC formats. If your files are in iCloud Drive, they may need to download before playback.

How do I download podcast episodes for offline listening?

Tap the download arrow next to any episode in your queue. Downloaded episodes are stored on your device and can be managed in Settings > Storage.

How do I delete downloaded episodes?

Go to Settings and tap Delete All Podcast Downloads to remove all downloads at once. You can also swipe left on individual episodes to remove them.

Can I sync playlists across devices?

Yes. If iCloud is enabled on your devices, music playlists sync automatically via iCloud Key-Value Storage.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Settings > Manage Subscription, which opens your Apple subscription management page. All billing is handled by Apple.

Why does audio from another module keep playing?

If you switch between modules (e.g., Radio to Music), the previous module should pause automatically. If you experience simultaneous playback, please update to the latest version of Mogul and report the issue if it persists.

How do I add a custom radio station?

Tap the + button in the Radio station list and enter the station’s stream URL. The station will be saved to your library.

Does Mogul collect my data?

No. Mogul does not collect, track, or transmit any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting

• No sound? Check that your device is not in Silent Mode and that the volume is turned up. Make sure no other audio apps are active.
• Podcast not updating? Pull down on the episode list to refresh. Mogul checks for new episodes in the background, but a manual refresh can help.
• Album artwork missing? Mogul reads artwork from audio file tags. If your files don’t have embedded artwork, no image will be displayed.
• App feels slow? If you have a very large music library or many podcast subscriptions, initial loading may take a moment. Subsequent launches should be faster.
